Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib (also called a bassinet) is located close to your bed to allow you to be able to tend to your baby during night feeds and changing nappy without needing to get out of bed. They are also great for developing confidence as your baby gets more comfortable in their own sleep space.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide crib is a crib that can be placed at the bedside, allowing parents to sleep with their baby while ensuring they are safe to sleep. Its smooth gliding motion will help calm your baby and its ingenious features let you monitor your child without leaving your bed.

The sliding side panel of the cot can be lifted and lowered by a simple pressing of a button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby at night. It comes with 11 height adjustments that can be adjusted to fit almost any mattress size. It also has adjustable folding feet so that it sits exactly at the right height.

The cot is cushioned and features mesh sides for better the airflow, and the mattress is made from high-density foam for extra protection. It can also be cleaned which means you can keep the crib clean. It is fitted with a mattress sheet that is suitable for a crib.

In contrast to other cribs for bedside baby bed use unlike other cribs for bedside cot co sleeper use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for all beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to provide a good night's rest. It has a drop side rail that is easily lowered for nighttime feeds without having to wake your child or get them out of bed - it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.

We love that it's made of soft fabrics with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It's available in oak and charcoal and has a variety of melange fabrics that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs firmly snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured for baby-safety. It took her about 10 minutes to put together and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video or support number available if you have any issues.

As well as the usual features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside cot sale, like being able to be connected to your bed using a stay-in place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option which can be used to alleviate reflux or congestion in babies. If you're looking to keep your baby close to you during the first six months of their life when they're able to go to sleep on their own, the CoZee is a fantastic option as it can also be used as a separate cot, changing table and toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. It will not feed your baby or magically make them sleep it will rock them to send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive options, but it is packed with lots of features. It's designed as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable from birth up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel using the new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to installation underneath any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and downwards with just one push of a button. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them up.

The side panel can be lowered by itself however, it's not recommended since it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it can only remain in place when it is attached to the parent's bed correctly. This is a great feature to have for peace mind, particularly when you're breastfeeding and need frequent nighttime feedings.

Telescopic legs permit the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases and beds with drawers. It also has a tilting function to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking mode to help them sleep after feeding. It's also incredibly spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers, however it's quite mobile and can be moved from room room easily. It's small enough to be able to fit into a travel bag when not in use which is a bonus when you have to transport it. The only issue our test subjects found was that the side panel did not flex as much as some of the other models, which made it a little harder to observe your child from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great choice if you want a crib that grows with your child. Designed to be a co sleeper bedside cot-sleeping bassinet that can be attached securely to your bed, but can also transform into a stylish cot when your baby is ready. It's ideal for feeding at night and fostering a bond with your baby.

Contrary to other models of bedside crib or cot cribs The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The dual-view mesh side panels and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress maximize airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. A gentle incline helps to reduce colic and reflux, while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby during the night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to begin. It took us about an hour to put together and was relatively easy to put together. The only drawback was the lack of written captions on a few images which made it difficult to comprehend certain steps. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of high quality.

In the co-sleeping position, we found the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a c-section because it lets them easily reach out to their baby to feed and comfort them without having to get up from their own bed. During our testing we observed the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be particularly useful in getting babies to sleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a big selling point for our exhausted test mums. Although it doesn't rock, or have additional features, like an audio system, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition our top crib reviews for bed.
