Researchers from the University of California at Berkeley and Stanford University conducted a study to guage drifts and look at how ChatGPT's popular giant language fashions (LLMs), GPT 3.5 (the LLM behind ChatGPT) and GPT-four (the LLM behind Bing Chat and ChatGPT Plus) changed over time. ChatGPT will not be a stand-in for OpenAI’s giant language model itself but serves as an intuitive, chat-based interface that allows users to interact with the ever-growing language model OpenAI is building and push the boundaries of the dataset it is being educated on. A "drift" refers to when giant language fashions (LLMs) behave in unexpected or unpredictable ways in which stray away from the unique parameters. All of those cases will be attributed to the drift phenomenon. This phenomenon is especially perplexing because generative AI fashions use user enter to constantly train themselves, which should make them more intelligent as they accumulate extra consumer entries over time.
