It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is useful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is separate from the auto vacuum and mop. It's simple to set up and performs well, but it's something you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it has some distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
