Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts the stats linearly.

Players can recycle six items at a time to gain a gauge for each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items increases with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to boost the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished through a variety of methods, including by using upgrade components or increasing the rarity of an item or its mark level. Upgradeable items are available all over the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also make them.
