A bedside baby bed crib (also called a bassinet) is placed near your bed so you can be able to provide care to your baby during night feeds and nappy changes without having to get out of bed. They are also ideal for creating independence as your little one grows more comfortable in their own sleep space.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that allows parents to co-sleep with their newborn whilst making sure they're safe. Its smooth gliding motion is able to lull your baby back into sleep and its innovative features allow you to monitor them without having to leave your bed.

The cot's side panel sliding lifts and lowers with the push of a button, making it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby at night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit on the mattress of almost every size bed. Additionally, it comes with adjustable feet that fold down to ensure that it's placed at just the right level.

The cot is cushioned and has mesh sides that allow for more ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam for added protection. It can also be cleaned, so you can keep the cot clean. It includes a fitted bed sheet that is suitable for the crib.

Contrary to other cribs that are bedside travel cot unlike other cribs for bedside use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can be used as a standalone crib even when it's not attached to the bed. It comes with a variety of wonderful features designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.

One thing to bear in mind is that even though this crib is ideal for newborns, it won't last long after your baby turns six months old, and you will require an additional cot. However, overall Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she especially liked its elegant design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna considered to be an affordable price for a cot with the most innovative features. She liked the way it looked in her bedroom, and thought its gray color would be appropriate for most modern homes. She did mention that it's not a good idea to rock a baby when it's younger as it could create an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It has an adjustable side rail that can be easily lowered to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or causing them to get out of bed. This is perfect for mothers who breastfeed! It's also lightweight, making it easy to move around the house during naps and also for travel.

We love the fact that it's made of soft fabrics with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It's available in oak and charcoal and has a variety of melange fabric options that blend well with most decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when attached to her bed with the legs securely snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure safety for babies. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number if you encounter any issues.

Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a bedside crib, like being able to connect to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help aid congestion or reflux in infants. It can also be washed in the machine - a must for all the dribbles, vomit, and snot that accompany a new baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice if you want to keep your child in the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. It won't feed your baby or magically sleep them it will gently rock them to send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive options. It does have numerous great features. It's designed to function as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel, and is easy to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor with 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.

Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides that can be moved up and down by pressing a button. This was particularly useful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick up their baby without waking them up.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended, since it increases the likelihood that your baby will fall out of the cot for bedside. But, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it can only remain in place when it is attached to the bed properly. This is an excellent feature to have for peace of mind, particularly in the case of breastfeeding and frequent night feeds.

Telescopic legs permit the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, including divan bases as well as beds with drawers. It also has an option to tilt to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking mode that can bring them back to sleep after eating. The Shnuggle Air bedside crib and cot crib is a great choice if you want an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a crib for co-sleeping that attaches securely to your bed and can be turned into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and strengthening your bond with your newborn.

In contrast to other cribs for bed The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The dual-view mesh side panels and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress increase airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle incline helps reduce colic and reflux. The zipper-down side lets you to feed your baby or soothe them during the night.

The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us around an hour to put together and was fairly simple to put together. The only downside was the lack of captions written on some of the pictures which made it difficult to understand certain steps. Overall, the procedure was simple and the materials used were of top quality.

The Shnuggle Air is a great option for mothers who are nursing or have had an e-csection. It allows them to reach out and hold their baby to comfort them and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's ideal for parents who do not want to go through the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot, or getting out of it.

The motion of gliding was found to be very beneficial in lulling babies into sleep after feedings at night or midday. The drop-down side can also be easily accessed to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night this was a huge selling point for our exhausted test moms. Although it doesn't rock, or have extra features, like an audio system, the Joie Roomie Slide's elegant design and practicality make it a great addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
