Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade item, commonly called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment increases a stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling a piece of equipment increases according to their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the power of your weapons and armor. This can be done through many different methods, including using upgrade components as well as increasing an item's mark level or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to increase their value.

There are items that can be upgraded throughout the game. They are available all over all over the world and are rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The primary method to upgrade equipment is through the use of upgrade components, which are items that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment has slots for upgrading and some require a certain amount of upgrade. Some upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others offer general bonuses.

There are a variety of upgrade components available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments, can be put in any type of equipment and provide smaller bonuses than those that are equipment-type specific. Glyphs can only be placed in gathering tools, and provide numerous bonuses, from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to providing extra crafting materials.

Select the item in your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. The preview will appear on the right-hand side of the screen. It will show the expected statistics after the upgrade. The Upgrade button at the bottom will show blocked if you don't have enough of either.

The number of upgrade components needed for a particular item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The cost of an upgrade increases with the level of the upgrade and its rarity, but can be reduced through many different methods, such as buying upgrades from a retailer or trading them to other players.

Many weapons can be improved with a prefix, like a rune or an insignia, and others can be enhanced by adding a suffix. These upgrades can be used to add an adjective to the item's name like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to convey visual information. They move to catch the attention of the viewers and trigger interest in the brain. The glyphs' animation mimics body language, making them more effective at conveying messages across language barriers. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph has a set of values that it could improve a stat by according to the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an artifact. This is the highest value that a glyph could improve a stat by but not the amount it actually improves the stat by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the product you are creating it for.

The majority of upgrade components that are inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without removing them except for legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a rune or glyph you do not want to use, but it hasn't been applied to gear yet, you can move the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can remove the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item will be destroyed in which it is installed however, you can salvage the upgraded item using the glyph and its shards therefore, it shouldn't be considered as a loss.

When you take away an item after adding a glyph, the shards of that glyph will disappear. You can also apply a glyph on your equipment to provide an extra benefit. Deferred Damage, for example can be used to store damage and be distributed slowly to the wearer rather than all at once. This is beneficial for players who take a lot of damage from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens allow players to alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment, and can be found through a variety of methods, including in mistery boxes or as rare drops from skulled creatures, or from killing bosses. Each reroll token gives the player a brand new random affix that is usually superior to the one they had before. Reroll tokens are also a great option to reroll stats on weapons that can be upgraded for better damage or perks.

Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of upgrade options, but they are still able to be upgraded. By pressing the "upgrade button" you can recycle these rerolled items. This will change the design of the item's window and let up to six items be selected to recycle. The gauge of level is increased by recycling an item upgrader. The amount is determined by the item's rarity and its level, which means higher-level items are more useful to recycle than lower-level ones.

In addition to tokens for rerolls players can also use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. A reroll will roll the % chance of a particular weapon trait; if it rolls higher, the weapon will be upgraded, and if it rolls lower, it remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to 3 times.

A reroll is a good option for upgrading an item, but users should be aware that it can reduce the total ilvl of the weapon by the number of rerolls required to increase the weapon to its ultimate ilvl. This reduction effect is most effective for ring items and Diadems that do not have any alternatives to raise their ilvls.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It would be fairer to allow people to pay for it using money or food items which will allow players to make changes to their builds without having to invest too much time. The developers aren't planning to implement paid rerolls at this stage in the game's development. Instead, they're planning to add an ability to change races in the near future.

Leveling

There are many ways to level up an item upgrade. The first way to level up an item upgrade is by increasing the upgrade amount. This increases the upgrade value for the stat. The alternative is to increase the impact of the upgrade, which increases the damage or healing of the stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. The upgraded item will keep its iLevel but be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.

When upgrading your items it is essential to remember that upgrades aren't always planned. In most cases the Best item upgrade roll will be derived from glyphs, however there are also possibilities for higher or more special rolls. Additionally, the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the type of item which means that if you upgrade a rare or unusual item to an extraordinary type, it will have a chance to gain an increased iLevel.

Upgrades can be costly particularly if you are upgrading your equipment from the standard track to legendary. The price will depend on the item's base iLevel and the number of upgrade levels it has. Some upgrade tracks also require crests to be completed in order to move on to the next level.

If you're fortunate the upgraded item could reach the maximum level on its upgrade track and gain an additional effect. This will increase the item's upgrade value. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level, though. In general, the upgrade effect is increased a value of +3.

Depending on the item's base level and its upgrade path, the iLevel of the upgraded item will change as well. For instance, an item that is upgraded from a rare or unique item to an exceptional one will have the chance to gain the Enhanced Defense of the new base item.
