The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It makes use of AI to detect objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills effortlessly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

The design is also better than the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that looks like an toy, not an obnoxious and loud robot. Clean Base's automatic floor vacuum Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which will reduce your cleaning time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel which other robots couldn't do. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it's not equipped with some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where many cheaper robot vacuums aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation is excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is simple. It also features a large LCD display which is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for most people but it can assist you in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and features are among the top available - but it's also pricey.

It's a small base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling point is how it automates many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.

Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tried that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price tag.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are other options on the market. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located near an outlet and have enough space to move.

The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from other models. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it can't access. It will return to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require as much emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and it struggles less with bulky material such as cereal.
