The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line, and it is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. the most important feature of all -- it has a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ can better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and direct your robot by voice or via the app.

The i7+ is quicker and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin that eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to speak commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with cordless vacs that look like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model feels like an automobile. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for the majority of households and can fit in well next to the table for a coffee or the bookshelf, where you can move it around like the magic tool.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces continuous, non-fading power for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system removes allergens, and then releases cleaner air back into your home. Its specialized cleaning head drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpets to trap large particles and fine dust. It has three suction modes to suit the task at hand. Its flat front makes it possible to reach the corners and the edges of walls.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models like our top selections, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. As a result, it can sometimes get stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't as sturdy, and often will run out of battery before making it back to its base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in most respects, as it has fewer components that need regular cleaning, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in moving itself. It also has a larger dustbin and charges faster.

The app allows you to manually steer the robot, if necessary. My living room rug, for example is darkly colored that can trip up some other robots. However the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border, without registering it as an incline. The ability to create weekly cleaning schedules is a fantastic time-saving feature.
