The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft

The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies to upgrade gear. These currencies can be exchanged at the NPCs who upgrade items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.

Each item can be upgraded to its highest level for a given slot once. Then upgrades to that slot will be less costly. The pity system that was introduced in The War Within, also lowers the extreme upgrade variance.

Upgrades
