It also wasn't able to handle dirt that was dried on.

Its app is on the basic side with no advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It works with Alexa however its voice commands don't seem to be very precise or responsive. It's also a little erratic when it returns to the charging station after the course. Other robots can follow a wall or trace a previous route however the RX3 bumbles around until it finally gives up.

Another issue we faced was with its smart features, specifically the mapping function and the digital keep-out zones. It was good at keeping our furniture legs and shoes away however it could easily get hanging up on socks, cables, and rug. That's why we chose not to include it in our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and a dazzling performance. It's worth considering as an alternative to the traditional uprights.
